I'm planning on modding my DD-5. I want to remove the Tap Tempo jack because I want to build an external controller box that will house a tap switch and also a 4dpt that will allow to switch between to different pots that act as "mode" switches. I need about 6 Pins in total to achieve this: 2 for the tap switch, 3 for the TRS wires of the mode select and 1 for power to LEDs.

I'd like to remove the tap 1/4" jack and install, hopefully if I can find one, a small female DIN jack allowing me to wire all this up.

Anyone know if there exists a small DIN like this?

You might consider a networking connector (e.g. RJ45)
Testing, testing, won too fwee

good idea. Do they make female jacks that can be attacked via screws to a chassis? I see a lot that are PCB mount and there is nothing to attach to with this particular project.
