Wow; I never realized how big those transformers really were.
Also, I'll be hated by Hendrix-philes for saying this, but I don't care for the Octavia sound, personally. I thought Purple Haze sounded like crap (in fact the whole first album's sound quality left me wondering why everyone loved it so much--so hard to listen to). I like Jimi's playing of course; don't get me wrong. I'm not a hater. Just so much hype after the fact, though. Jimi no doubt would've progressed and evolved beyond what so many today hold in religious reverence.

I'm trying to get some help on this :
http://www.phpbbserver.com/freestompbox ... stompboxes
Can anyone compare the components between the Tonepad and the Fulltone version ? My Tyco Octafuzz is not so "octave" like the Fulltone samples....
Thanks.

I've never had much love for octave either. Always sounded somewhat "unmusical" to me......

i think you use the switch to lift one of the diodes. referring to the schem on page 19

Yeah, you just lift one of the diodes. GGG probably has better documentation.

Friend of mine borrowed me his Octafuzz today, so i took my camera and took a few shots of it's guts... I've uploaded the pics, so you can download it here:

I hope it will help! Tomorrow or in a few next days i'll try to figure out where the ends of wires are soldered...
