I just finished this build (my 3rd) and I am really pleased with it. This is the 69 Boutique variant with PNP transistors. They ship it with Silicon PNP but you can pop germanium PNPs from Small bear or others in. It has 4 pots, volume, bias, contour, and fuzz. The contour doesn't do a whole lot but reduce volume so I dime it. The real control is the bias and fuzz contols. The fuzz increase fuzz (duh) and the bias is like the nasty knob - it increases the top end sizzle and grind like crazy. The fuzz is more lower end and mids. If you dime the bias, the thing auto feeds back too. The only down size is the box is positive ground so although it comes with a 5.5mm barrel power input, it won't work with a typical Boss style power supply. Would taking a Boss style jumper and reversing the wires work?

All and all a blast for $50 and 3 hours of soldering.

Any others who have built and liked this project?

If it's an individual power pack yes that will work, but if it's a "Brick" style (multi output) power pack you're asking about the answer is NO.
