I had some time this weekend to get started on a striped down 6v6 version of a silvertone 1485. Layout and wiring shots to follow, but here's the chassis mockup for now. More pics in my Flickr album: http://www.flickr.com/photos/35422385@N ... 935940941/

I think it looks a little naked above the jewel and power switch, and I forgot to put the speaker impedance above the Jack so maybe I'll redo the graphics which sucks since it went on really well this time. And if anyone has some silvertone-ish style knobs, I'd love to trade for them, I haven't really been able to find anything similar.

Here's my rough layout and schematic which might change during building, sometimes it looks good on paper but doesn't really work in real life. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35422385@N ... hotostream

You should be able to zoom in if you go to the view all sizes option.

I've had this finished for a few weeks but didn't have time to do a soundclip until now, she's a monster: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11266785

I'll post a proper layout eventually, there was an issue with the 1M resistor on the phase inverter in the one I posted before. Same mistake I made on the 213 layout, it went to ground instead of the cathode.

I used some old triad transformers from a high fi stereo that I got in a trade. This amp likes hot 6v6s too.
