Help with wiring please

Ok, you got your soldering iron and nothing is going to hold you back, but you have no clue where to start or what to build. There were others before you with the same questions... read them first.

So I'm a complete beginner and I'm building this smokey amp circuit, would really appreciate some help

i was wondering if someone could please tell me how to wire in a couple of things to this

a 3 pin volume pot
a jack output so it can be wired into a big speaker (im still putting in a small speaker as well)
a power output (im using the battery as well but want to be able to plug it in too)

thanks so much!

Take a look at the Ruby amp project over at runoffgroove.com for some ideas.

You will need a switched power socket (3 solder terminals) and a 1/4" stereo input socket to turn battery or external power on/off. You can also use a mono socket and add a separate power toggle switch instead.
For basics on wiring stuff, I would suggest perusing the generalguitargadgets.com tech section and check out their project pages. A lot of this stuff goes hand in hand.
