I've been using the pre-bonded stuff that small bear sells and its GREAT stuff, but i'm wondering where ELSE can you get that stuff? Maybe I just dont know how to find it but it seems crazy that mouser/allied/digikey and the like dont stock something similar. I know Steve isnt manufacturing the stuff himself so it has to come from somewhere. Anyone have any leads on this kind of wire?

Its not that I dont want to order from Small Bear, just that sometimes it would be more convenient to tack it onto mouser orders, etc.

I'd like to have a source for 22g as well.

I believe the gauge is smaller that 22, but the stuff sold HERE is bonded MUCH better than the Small Bear stuff. I use wires from both suppliers.

Just wanted to +1 the pre bonded from guitarpcb. It is the best I've used so far. I also have Smallbear's and I like Barry's stuff better, albeit I think the Bear works out to be cheaper.

Even if its better i'll be damned if I buy something that doesnt come on a reel. My bench would be a disaster!!!

Anyway....regardless i'm wondering where these guys like guitarPCB and smallbear get their stuff. There HAS to be some supplier making it that I dont know about. And i'm wondering why I cant seem to find them, or why mouser/digikey/etc. dont carry their stuff.

potentially, yes, but that stuff is WAY expensive. $46 for 100ft where smallbear is $6 for the same amount. Even at 1000ft smallbear is still half the price. Makes me think there's something else out there.

I've never used PCB Shop's stuff so I can't comment on that but I've always liked the grab pack from effectsconnection. It's listed as 24AWG but it seems to be more like 22. It strips at 22 and is definitely way thicker than the 24 from Smallbear so yeah, gotta be 22. It's stranded but bonded real nice, has some good stiffness but smooths out easy so you don't get that shitty kinked look that solid core gives. It's priced good too and the grab pack is a steal, it goes a long way.

Here it is in action.
