mxr blue box extra gain stage?

I am trying to add an extra gain stage into my blue box build to combat the gain suck that it has. Does anyone have any input on where exactly I should put it in at?

I suppose I should have the schematic here as well... thought I did last night but obviously I was far too tired to be allowed to operate my computer.

I was thinking that it should go between IC1B and Q1, but I could be wrong. I'm getting the hang of building these things, I think, but as far as adding this, I'd prefer to have some input from more knowledgeable people before I just go throwing parts into it.

If you need more gain to drive the effect, you may raise R8 or lower R5.
If you need more output signal you need a booster between C10 and R21.
