Soldering wires onto boards

I find that a lot of stuff at GEOFEX gets passed over after a while. I suspect that a lot of folks here haven't see this one:

I hate trying to solder wires when I can't get the board, pots, and jacks to hold still. So I came up with this soldering block to let me get them mostly fixed in place while I soldered in the wires.
It still doesn't strip the wires, but I do have a pair of tweezers-style thermal wire strippers which helps that particular pain.
