Hi everyone,

I have been playing around with some free software for schematic and pcb design also has an autoroute feature like a lot of the more advanced software in it also. It seems nice and simple and easy to use and can get the job done of what i can see to do your favourite pedal. If anyone else has had experience with this software please write your thoughts. Of you's that don't know this free yes free software exists here is the link: http://fritzing.org/download/ So do yourself a favour go and have a look. Projects like this one need some feedback so don't be scared its a good place even for people that haven't used this type of software before as it has lots of tutorials and seems to guide you throught with out a whole lot of pain. That said no software is completely bug free but hey if it gets that pedal up and running with the least amount of pain isn't that a good thing. Anyhows try it out and see how you go. I´ll try it! Would be nice to have a alternative to eagle (even the freeware wont boot on my mac).

I just tried Fritzing, inserted a SHO schematic, neated everything up via the autoroute option. Works very well, had no bugs and I´m sure there won´t be any problem doing bigger layouts. Time will tell but I will donate some spare coins, having your layout fabbed in slick white pcb´s is great as well. Not sure about the prices, tough.

what prices are you talking about do they manufacture them for you or something?

i will for sure. i just tried it for 5 minutes or so. i plan on putting in some time later on this week. the one thing i noticed in my very limited time using it was that i couldn't seem to find out home to label the "in" part of the circuit on the schematic view. i could have just passed over it
