malekko chicklet (1590a SMD, esp for Dirk ;-) )

General documentation, gut shot, schematic links, ongoing circuit tracing, deep thoughts ... all about boutique stompboxes.

They probably make lots of pedals that are much denser than this (616 maybe) and only want to stock one size.

if it has a patent, is it wise to RE it here though? partly why I think it may be cool to RE this instead.. no patent :blackeye
The patent is for an INTEGRATED reverb solution, and is actually really kinda crude (maybe that's why people love the sound so much!)

This is a very sound way of getting that sound in a small enclosure without paying stupid Belton prices though. Malekko really are on top of their game.

How is the pot breakout board held on? A rigid header or a short ribbon cable?
Testing, testing, won too fwee

rigid header with those 6 pins at the top, then on the other side of the pots another pair. the audio jacks and the stompswitch are what hold the board in place

It's a shame these are discontinued; certainly a steal for 120 USD. I assume they'll bring them back with a new version?
