About those pots.......I do not want to unsolder them.........and when I measured them with DMM......they show 11.1 Kohm at ends........but when I measure resistance alond moving slider of pot......it goes like this... 0...5.....10...20....up to 37Kohm(at the middle)....and then falls from 37kohm back down and at the maximum travel it shows 11.1 Kohms.......

cheers

All the pots are in parallel so as there are 10 of them they will be 100k but read 10k. The 37k in the middle is a pointer that they are not 10k.

Ooops, I should really read your post properly.

They will still probably be 100k (nominal) pots though. 11.1K makes them average out at 111k which is pretty normal tolerance for pots.

(I don't see the Edit button any longer, has it disappeared completely now?)

... :thumbsup . she goes directly to wall....220V AC........and Reticon SAD1024 is her soul..... there is little bit of LFO noise....but recaping should help.....right?

....and deltafred is right.....100K is used in bassmicrosynth, and unification of all parts is very logicall and clever..............

cheers

Is there a simple way to add distortion to the sound like switching diodes to ground on and off? What I mean is I'd like to build a ten band EQ so that each band would have its own, switchable distortion so I could have either clean EQ, or overdrive each band separately. Or maybe it would be better to put a dedicated distortion stage after each band (made of an opamp with diodes).

Done with a Rat after each band in 1980s - sounded good.

what about something like Bazz Fuss? I bet rat was good, but it seems to me that with ten Rats the board will get huge...

I breadboarded and probably used quad opamps - Not LM308s of course but the idea was the same.

how about diodes in each feedback loop?

yeah, that was something i had in mind, I could just switch two diodes on and off with a dpdt swich, right? would amount of distortion be fixed though? or would it increase with pushing the band's volume further? I think it would be nice to have an indepenent dist control though, so maybe just an opamp with diodes in feedback loop as a following stage?

dang! just noticed, that it needs symmetrical power (is that the right term?) ! I have ordered an 18V transformer for a pedalboard power supply, but it's not center tapped... is there a way to buil this without a CT transformer? Also, does any of you guys happen to knonw the current draw od a 10 band EQ?

I had idea to make send/return jacks after every stage on bassmicrosynth...so you can add delay to suboctave, chorus to clean sound.....tremolo to squarewawe......... :blackeye
but never finished it.......

Hi Boris,

I'm new to this board and found this while searching for 10 band EQ schematics. I own Sprint Layout 5, too, so I'm curious if you made progress on the missing 10%.

Hi man...traces are all OK...only missing part are some values, but you can find that on schem.......

if not, I will complete this and post it soon

cheer
