I was wondering if anyone knew of a good online parts store (Like small bear) but in Canada. Shipping from the states or UK is killing me.
If you know of any actual stores (not online) let me know as well.

For mail order I think tayda and futurlec are good deals if you don't mind waiting for your order.

And downtown at college and spadina there's creatron, and the home hardware that got all the stuff that used to be at honson. If you go to the sayal on Matheson, there's a place next door called AA electronics that's got some randomly organized bits and bobs too.

I feel your pain. Mouser has been pretty reasonable for me, especially if I batch my orders a bit. Here is some adivce though, if you are going to mail order, never, ever, ever under any circumstances have anything shipped to you from the states using UPS. My last order was $180 and I got dinged with an extra $70 worth of "Brokerage Fees" at the door by the UPS guy, on top of the $24 I had already paid for shipping. After I stopped yelling the guy explained that UPS uses a 3rd party broker to prepare their packages for customs (How it costs $70 to stick a sticker on the box, but only $24 to transport the damn thing from texas is beyond me). USPS works in partnership with Canada Post and dosn't charge these fee's (but yes do take longer).
