hi everyone
I have a laney LC30 which has a dodgy power and standby switch. They need changing but while im at it i thought I'd like to use a metal toggle switch.
Anyone here know how easy and safe this is? Also what switches would i need ?? The plastic rockers are dpdt

I have an LC30 too, and although I haven't yet had any trouble with my switches, I would replace a faulty one with another rocker switch, rather than a toggle. Toggle switches are harder to protect from accidental impacts, which is the main reason why manufacturers like Fender hide them away on the back panel under an overhang or in a recessed area as on the Hot Rod series. Both rocker switches on the LC30 are DPDT used as DPST, so any decent DPDT or DPST rocker switch of the same size will work fine.
