earthquaker afterneath is another FV-1 based effect that uses inverters as a variable clock source. it's a good technique for extra versatility without sacrificing one of the FV-1's 3 available pot inputs!

Interesting, as it could potentially be a tweaked version of this circuit with one of the the reverb programs on the FV-1 selected in place of the pitch shift + delay.

Got any gut shots?

I've ordered a few FV-1 chips and I'm going to give the "Rainbow Machine" a shot, hopefully by the end of the year, as I think it sounds kind of neat for crazy Mars Voltaish cleans and it looks like an easy build with a ton of modding potential.

Most FV-1 programs should give some crazy results with the inverter + feedback setup and the EHX Holy Stain might be easily modded into doing something similar.
