hey guys, i just bought this on ebay for 20 bux...
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V ... SA:US:3160
anyone know anything about it? i know the board has been replaced, gonna hopefully find a schematic so i can make an appropriate clone of the original circuit.
found it on discofreq's website, with a great gut shot.
any info anyone can help me with is appreciated!!
http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/fal/treblebooster
here's the shot inside the one i bought...absolutely not the same circuit, and looks almost like a commercial board.

"a 1967 Goya catalog
The original English Treble Boost. Precision made. $24.95
More info at http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/fa ... z1vpJojthl
"
suck factor is the lack of guts. total suck. gonna have to find one of these things somewhere, so i can clone it and re-stuff this thing. it doesn't look like too many components,
but can't see the trace side.
i blew up the guts, but my eyes are way too spent to be sure of what i think i see.
anybody crazy enough to help me out in this endeavor? we all could use Yet Another Treble Booster From The Sixties No One Ever Heard Of, right?
and my newb ass is way too egglike still to be able to reverse engineer something even this simple without 10,000 years and monkeys for backup.

I bought one ( € 1!) a few years ago, it's a rangemaster clone, but the resistors are different, base resistors are 6k8 to -, and 10k to ground, collector resistor is 4k7 , emitter resistor is 1 k. The input capacitor is 2 capacitors in series, both 10 N. There are 2 outputs, one is the cable, output capacitor is 100N, the other output is the small connector in the top of the picture, output C is 47 N. Transistor is a NTK216. I cannot read the valus of the elco's , I think it's 100 for the big one and 25 for the other ( emitter).

hi guys....this is in the "fal treble booster" i got on evilbay..
i don't think it's original, tho the pcb appears to have been factory mounted to the casing with the same crap they used on the battery holder, some double sticky sided foam kinda stuff.
that said, the battery is for a "um5 or n size" battery.
there's TWO transistors, both c1923 y g5's... i looked 'em up, they may be 2sc1923...
the board is marked with the number 4030 on the trace side...
there is a small inductor
both elecros are 10mf@16v
there's 6 resistors, 12k, 10k, 100r, 33k x 2, and 180r
i can't make out all the discs, the first one is 100p, 10n, the rest are marked with 3 or 4 ...pf? there are 4 ceramics all together.
as best as i can see (which isn't well unfortunately, the parts are labeled like this
r1 10k
r2 12k
c1 10u
c2 100p
r4 100r
c3 10p
r 5 180r
r6 33k
c4 3p
c5 10n
c6 4p
c7 10u
the "transformer" says 28-4030
here's some pics
i tried to outline the traces a little, and labeled the underside with ins and outs
so...what do ya think?
i'm gonna splice it back together and try and get some signal thru it...thanks guys

I think you need to hold the board further from the camera and then crop out the board after the picture has been taken.pinkjimiphoton wrote: so...what do ya think?

Perhaps for some... it has to much undefined presence - specially in upper high frequencies to memictester wrote:It has great fuzz!sinner wrote:Nice picts
