There are only 3 x 2n3704 trannies..
They are pretty low gain IIRC but haven't
Tested but i cant imagine its too finnicky
Just ur standard silicon trans. Not sure which
Companymanufactures the chips in my Rx
But it doesnt appear to be the fairchild semi-con
Brand which i see commonly on digikey.. Mousr

Do you have a PCB Layout, or Transfer Sheet?
a proper schem, or any project related info?

can you either post a link to it, or just give us the low-down
on that beauty! I want to do the same thing for my NEXT project,
I already just bought a lot of (25 x 1970's Dated NOS 2N3704's)

--- not that NOS was necessary, but I saw on ebay, put in cheep bid, won..
we shall see! no pictures.. but I can't imagine a HUGE difference between them..

PLEASE WE NEED MORE INFO!!!

2. All files I used were already posted in the Vintage Stompbox Corner: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1153

3. I stretched the PCB, so that you can drill a 12mm hole in it. The Stompswitch holds the PCB and it fits exact in a BB-size enclosure.

4. On my picture you can see that I used two Xicon "Greenies" Caps (0.22uF) and three Sprague Orange Drops (2x0,01uF & 1x0,1uF). These caps were also in the original RX from my friend. His unit used MPS-A05 Transistors, but I decided to use 2N3704.

5. Use Transistor sockets and try a lot of different types!! It is amazing how sensitive this circuit responds to different Transistors in the gain and EQ stages! You can tune you Overdriver´s sound in a very wide range. I tried 2N3904, BC547C, BC549B, BC549C, 2N3704, 2N5088... all sound different! The dynamic response, the EQ, the output level, the amount of fuzz - it´s all in your hands

did you put the cap on the bottom side of the board as well?
can we confirm that the CLEAR POLYSTYRENE CAPS I think are 220p and 1000p?

so the cap on the underside of the board dosent seem to be in the original.
Can you confirm that it is going from the Base to the Collector of Q1?

also would you confirm the resistor and PCB layout is similar to the values i listed above?

LASTLY! I was curious.. Why no LED -- you have done everything right w/ the 3PDT..
-- high quality metal film resistors, wires, very clean --- lots of attention to detail,
so the above baffles me in a sense.. ---> either case ---> I LOVE IT and I love you for sharing!

yes, almost all your values are right, but I used ONLY the following layout and choose the same parts as in the original RX from my friend.
So I cannot say anything about the clear polystyrene caps... I only uses a 500p silver mica:

About the LED:
It´s similar to Tonebenders and Fuzz Faces: you will definitely know when this little bastard is engaged! I really don´t miss a LED.

as you may remember from PE RX Thread a bit back, I'm still trying to make a clone
of this one, I've been super busy and haven't gotten around to it yet, but I just bought
a bunch of parts from mouser and am planning on doing a similar build to your RX CLONE!

I hope i'm not out of line here, but I was wondering if you might share with me the PCB
LAYOUT (and perhaps parts list) of this build! (PS: FANTASTIC WORK!!!)

YOU FREAKIN Nailed the enclosure layout too!!! how did you get the font and the layout so damn perfect!??:? (Anyhow, any info you can throw my way on your RX OD build would be REAAAALLLY helpful. I'm sort of a newb, but I have 2 or 3 builds under my belt.. this will be my first time actually etching my own PCB, so truly any info you could help share, would be more than amazing!

another gooped pedal it appears via gutshots on the net.

I use 2n2222A in q1 and q2 and a BC109 for q3 in my CSO. Love it.
