Cusack - Screamer V1 (non-fuzz)

Hi there,
These are great pedals, from a really nice builder.
Is there any info one what's in a screamer and a screamer fuzz?

It's a very nicely built Tube Screamer.
The true bypass switching is done with a relay and a PIC micro controller.
Very beautiful design. It's like he read my mind. Very similar idea to what we did on the Line 6 DL4... but with a smaller micro.

Well, they are Panasonic pots. Very similar to the green Alpha pots used in Zvex pedals. So... they should hold up well.

Just that plastic shaft ...
I usually whine about pcb mounted pots since its difficult getting replacements ...those used by Z are metal shaft types tho.
Last week i had two EM5 rehoused into one enclosure and it had those similar type pots....they just seemed too flimsy!
Btw mr.huge nice one with the FF reissue ....whats next ??

I don't know what John's policy is, but some companies will just send you replacement parts on request.
About 10 years ago I had a digitech RP20. It has some wacky parts in it that had worn out on the expression pedal. I called them up, and they said i can send it in, but it could take a few weeks. I told them I already figured out the problem, and just needed a couple parts. they sent them to me for free, and fixed it in a matter of minutes.
Even though I hated the RP20, I still had huge respect for digitech for just sending the parts to me.

Sourcing out custom enclosures and stuff takes work but hey whats the word on the huge pedals

From what he says on the "Fuzz" documentary about the Screamer, it has been tweaked to keep the parts of the sound he liked and remove some of the compression he didn't.
He seems like an incredible designer, he also designed a bunch of taptempo circuitry which can be retro fitted to the ZVex Seek series of pedals. He is a very clever guy.

Who you talking about? The guy that runs the former Cliff UK distrubtor located in Kansas or the guy that runs the
US Division of CLIFF UK located in California?

Like the title says, prefer a single sided board version.
I have one here, but all components have been removed, so I guess gut shots may be OK too.

Sorry - I was looking for a schematic/pcb layout/perf/something for the Cusack Screamer.
I have one that I took in in pieces and it'd probably easier to just etch a new board and put it together than to try to salvage the mess that I have of this one.
