it's not 2.8nF under the 4558 opamp but 2.2nF

Ohh yeah I see in the upper PCB lay, well correcting the value yet:

Here's what I have been working on for the last two weeks
I would appreciate it very much if you would like to point out any errors in component values or connections.
Once this is verified and all the errors sorted out I will publish the Sprint layout and gerber/drilling files right here for everyone to enjoy.
You will notice that I have attempted to tidy the layout of components so that most are now horizontal or vertical in orientation.
I have also drawn up a front panel layout and the PCB will fit this perfectly. Jack sockets are standard REAN or similar types. board interconnects are Molex 2.54mm or 0.1 inch pitch.
Pots are all 16mm alpha type etc.
Cheers

You may notice that the last picture in my previous post has the input gain control in a different position and the typeface point size is different - TC must have made some changes to their layout or is this the MkII version ?

The SCF Reissue is made of surface mounted components, the one I reversed is the 80's stompbox with 'classical' components

RE: my last 2 posts - I have already spotted two errors which I will correct later. The main 220uf filter capacitor is connected with the wrong polarity and the two bottom board wires near the bottom of the board have been cross connected

Great work, thx!

I really hope that someone will offer a professional double-sided pcb for this project.

:secret: Earth control to Major Madbean...

Not sure a double sided PCB will change something : the two PCBs are overpopulated anyway and il will require a biggest box than a 1590BB w. stacking of the two single sided ones

My layout WILL fit in a Hammond 1590BB :D

.......... no room for a 9 volt battery though
It could easily run off 12 - 16v AC plugpack though - does not need to have a small mains trannie inside it - 12v AC may be borderline for the on board 78L15 voltage regulator though

The SCF never had a 9V battery in and, IMHO, if there was a battery, this one would be very fastly empty, this would be a little stupid to run such a unit on a battery : TC's boss (who is the conceptor all by himself) has integrated as much parts in a stomp you'd find generally in a half or full 19' enclosure of this era.
BTW, this baby rocks not only for guitar : you can consider using it as a main chorus unit in studio for anything you want : signal/noise ratio is higher than 100dB, it's really really quiet with big dynamics, it's a real studio processor that was put in a stompbox enclosure :)

Hey iznogoud,

if you can take some measurements, please add clock frequencies. (min and max)

Nope, I ain't got stuff to do it :(
I noted the positions of the trimers on the hand drawn rip, I don't see how to do better with my equipment, sorry

Anyone know if there are significant differences between the original SCF and the SMD reissue?

I am currently in the process of numbering the components in the top board - found a couple more errors
The TC schematic shows a zener diode (Z101) in series with the top led status light - this is NOT on the PCB :!: :?:
iznogood's drawing shows this as just a link wire.
This picture (http://pics.studiorepair.com/TC_Electro ... 61356.html) shows that this zener is connected but enclosed by yellow plastic tubing
Stay tuned - nearly finished :thumbsup

If I have drawn a wire link, there was a wire link. Maybe will it be different on the unit I just bought and hadn't time to open, which will be done ASAP. I'm sory I can't speed it up : I really have to much shits to do b4 I can spend time on it, I haven't the ubiquity power, unfortunately.
You know, TC did probably some mods as time went by, but I can't tell about stuff I haden't under my hand, can I?

some previously mentioned errors now corrected - could be the final version  -
please check and advise if you see anything that needs to be changed.

Bajaman, thanks for this job!
Has anybody built this "monster"? Is it verified?

Nice work all ! Has anyone seen the schematic for the tc 1210 , dual rack mount version ?
curious how much more than two SCF's it could be ?
