SAD1024's

I see them for sale in 2 places: one is on ebay now, & they sell for $75.00 ea. The seller claims some 10 left.

The other source is myaudiolab.com, & they assert that they have many NOS ones. Those shown in the pix, however, make me wonder the all-pervasive
questions about tested quality (or even fakery?)

Does anyone have some (lol) feedback on the reliability & qualty supplied by these sources? Or more assured ones?

Might be worth the $, considering the versatile Clone clone build schematics out there. Using just one SAD 1024 as a takeoff point, one could make a very good pedal for showcasing its capabilities. An optimized Small Clone. I like the Hollis Zombie Chrous, for one...maybe some Madbean stuff, etc.

Buying rare BBD's from unknown or not well known sellers online is like hoping the escort you see on the internet looks like the photos she posted online in real life...

You might get gonorrhea from ebay chips too.

The chips you see on myaudiolab there look like pretty genuine pulls. What you would like to get is a confirmation that they are tested and how they are tested. I have some 6 SAD's here that look very real (they are) and will sell in minutes when offered for sale online at a decent price. They are as defective as thay can be though. Which is why I don't sell em.

Ahhhhh yes BUT, are they defective on BOTH sides? A SAD1024 with a good A or B side could be put to good use! :secret:

In that case, I would have to get rid of them immediately. Seeing them on a dialy basis just sitting there lifeless would make me very, very SAD! :(

No pun intended.

I have one sititng here that I believe has a good B-side on it but, I have not devised a test circuit for it or a layout that makes good use of it.
