EDE2208 Momentary to Toggle IC

I have a few of these in my stash, but have never used them.
Here's the datasheet for it.

And here's the part of the schematic showing how it works.

So, to me it looks like you could use momentary switches to toggle between powering up 5vdc circuits, correct?
Since most of my projects run on 9vdc, can I use these for anything?
I didn't see anywhere that listed the max voltage it could take - but I'm assuming it can't do 9v.
I was hoping that I could use these to do something like using momentary switches to run multiple circuits in one enclosure and be able to turn them on/off individually.

Withe the datasheet the thing starts to make sense. With that single button application I was really :scratch:

It looks like it's just toggling power to the circuit, right?
I would think it would be better if it were toggling outputs rather than power.
