Newbie needs a Big Muff pot

Hi all,
First time posting and just getting into repairs and building. My Big Muff (recent large sized not vintage version) pot when bad (wiggling the tone knob would cut the signal and cause extream screeching sound)... I tried to open it to see what looked wrong it, can't find any obvious defect. Looking to just replace it now. But not sure where to buy... I looked at small bear and dont see anything just like it.. I do know it needs the extra long teeth that go straight into the board and it's 100K linear. I'm gonna go ahead and replace another pot as when opening up the box the whole shaft came out of the pot of the sustain pot.

Any help or direction would save me hours
thanks
doc pete

Did you look in the Electro Harmonix section?

Check that the pots housing isn't coming apart. Happens pretty often due to the boards weight physically loading the pot's housing. It would exactly cause the problem you're describing, especially since you're able to wiggle.

Dirk.... Thanks for the idea, I ended up opening them, thinking something in there was messed up, but they were all looked intact but i really believe that something along those lines must have occured.
