Oh how to implement an NE570 would be fairly standard ( while there are tricks one can use it’d be a bit beyond for the intended use).
That is too say there’s nothing fancy about adding the NE570.
However the reason to use a compander with chorus is maybe interesting?
Here’s the idea: I wanted to be able to use the EBC ahead of distortion to create more of a moving speaker sound than a traditional
chorus sound, mainly because I am very tired of traditional chorus sounds and while the total noise level of PT2399 is fairly good and
actually good enough to be used ahead of moderate distortion and somewhat higher levels too if output mix from PT2399 is set low
( e.g as used as echo), the use of modulation ahead of distortion could require higher mixing levels and so while prototyping the EBC
I decided that the noise levels with compander was significantly lower to make a valid difference .
