Now I know, where this annoying sound - which nobody wanted to listen to in the 70´s and 80´s - came from:
....from oscillation....

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

I have no idea how people are keeping these things quiet...

Heres an internal from a DiceWorks pedal...they get great reviews, but the interior is...well...

I don't think that first seller has the right to use Jimi Hendrix's image to sell a product. That fool could get sued.

I wonder how the reception is on that thing. I bet it can pull in stations from the Netherlands...

You build high gain fuzzes...would you EVER let something like that wiring job happen ? I mean, I dont want to really "slam" the guy, but I just have no idea how he could be keeping it from oscillating like hell.

High gain fuzz... short wires, ins away from outs....

No; my first Fuzz Face was every bit as bad if not worse of a rat's nest. I loved it when a Catholic Radio broadcast would come through with a Hail Mary. It went so perfectly with old Black Sabbath riffs.

Okay; I take it back. My first FF build was a rat's nest. It was mainly a learning platform and had lots of mods and 2 extra pots but still managed to be not quite as dense a mess as that thing up top. Here it is, my very first build...

Nice cross-wire. I had a whole pile of that stuff from a bit of 100-pair cable i had lying around. I used to use it for everything, guitars, pedals, twist-ties... It is like the wire equivalent of duct tape.
This fuzz pedal features the 10 mods htat Hendrix had done to his own personal pedal,
true bypass,
a 9v adapter port,
and 9v battery lead
a) I count only 3 ?
b) If Hendrix had an adapter socket and a battery lead added.... then how was this thing powered before that time? Mojo?
Sorry. Plain out of planes.
