There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

There's but only one place in a classic wah-wah circuit where a 3rd transistor will make sense and actually do some good.
:hmmm: Emitter follower on the output? - no..can't be, that's to simple even for a solder jockey :horsey:

That´s a real good idea.....
But wouldn´t this require that the output is not connected directly to the pot, as can be seen inthe guts of both pedals ?

So perhaps an emitter follower buffer on the input since wah input impedance varies with pot position. could also be wired for buffered by-pass. But I hate tracing circuits from photos...so I don't.

I did not find this pedal (nor any other effect pedal) in catalogs earlier than this one from 1972:

Ibanez 1972 catalog
Ibanez 1972 catalog

There seem to be two distinct circuits, telling by the pcb and components this is probably the earlier version.

Blubber Wah 02.jpeg
Blubber Wah 03.jpeg
Blubber Wah 04.jpeg
Blubber Wah 05.jpeg
Blubber Wah 06.jpeg

Then there is a later version like the one already referred to above:

A Blubber Wah 04.jpeg
