Hey guys, tonight I worked on my 3rd 1484, I replaced the power caps, added a 3 prong plug, electrolytic caps in the pre amp, and added a new mojotone output transformer and it has nothing but hum when I switch it on.
I've done 2 other 1484, one changing just the caps and adding a 3 prong plug, and the other I did the same thing as above but it worked just fine. I will post pictures tomorrow because i've been hard at it on this amp for hours and it not working is pretty much making me need sleep. Any thoughts as to what it may be?
Amp worked before I started on it, tubes are fine, polarity of the caps is correct, nothing is shorting out that I can see. When the amp is switched off stand by it just has a loud hum and passes zero signal.
Any help would be much appreciated and like I said i'll get pics up tomorrow. Thanks
