Yesterday it arrived, "the real deal". Not any bad-sounding-Beckman-reissue.... no, we are talking about 100%-vintage-original-late-60s-high-tolerance-carbon-comp-resistors from Vitrohm, made in Denmark as they were used in the early EH Big-Muff-Pi´s and other EH-stuff for the ultimative-mojo-sound. Eight boxes (alltogether 800 pcs) of finest NOS resistors - about the price we will not be talking here, that would not be gentlemen like.

But with these resistors now I will become the "King of Tone" ..... no.... the "Cesar of Tone" :horsey:

That you can participate on that pleasure and success from the first minute here is a picture of the stuff for sound-junkies:

What, no Allen-Bradleys? Every NOS resistor cork sniffer knows that AB resistors were made with pure sonic mojo.

Whoa nelly! What a juicy motherload of mojo. Do I see a silver band? I thought that was a lower tolerance marking. But nontheless you may claim Czar of Mondo-Mojo. Whatever the cost you must have found it "acceptable". On the other hand I just forked out $20 USD+shipping for 10 2W Allen Bradley resistors[I know, assinine] for use in a Trainwreck I'm trying to build as accurately as possible. These sadly are in the power supply so they have absolutely no bearing on tonal mojo hyperbole. :blackeye

silver is the "true-mojo"-marking...

Is $3,-- for all without any shipping costs acceptable ?

With 10% tolerance, plenty of scope for "hand-matched" mojo...

As you can see here:
https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/ ... G_0059.jpg
and here:
https://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r11 ... ecff1c.jpg
the real (mojo-)thing is in 10% tolerance.

But for becoming the real mojo-king you also need the right transistors and they can only be original BC108´s from Telefunken (TFK). Hmm..... this requires a little desoldering-job, but to become the "king of mojotone".... ?

so here the right trannies can be seen too:

I just won this auction on ebay... it was listed poorly (new capacitors, instead of NOS...among other things), so I didnt have to bid against anyone.

$25 with free shipping...over 1000 caps, including lots of tropical fish, BC electrolytics, etc....

Ive also got a bunch more mustard caps coming, among other things....
