Hi everyone.
I found such a thing, do I need to have in the SEPP is the first part in this schematic?

2SJ74 is the end of production. I'd like to achieve in the emitter follower of 2SK170.

A simple google search revealed:

2N5459 for the 2SK170
2N5462 for the 2SJ74

Thanks arph :D
But, I think I want to use Japanese FET I live in Japan.
I want to know the meaning of the first stage using the SEPP.

But can't you just order them from tayda or something? they ship international.

I don't know what you mean with SEPP

Ah, yes.

Well I guess it is to buffer the signal from the 4n7 - 1k and 10k parallel tone shaping right before the op amps. Why the designer chose SEPP stages I don't know.

Yeah that's just crazy.

It looks like they chose a 5532 for whatever reason, and then ran into the problem of its low input impedance (especially with a piezo). So they tacked on the buffers, choosing a SEPP over a single JFET for reasons best left a mystery.

Could have avoided all those extra parts by using a more conventional high impedance input op-amp in a non-inverting configuration in place of the 5532.

It's as I thought too.
I was glad to clear it :)
Very thanks!
