Quick question? if you don't like how it sounds, why bother tracing it? The schem you posted in not correct anyhow, the clipping section and the tone control are not right. The current version is SMD built by a robot right here in Seattle. If I can figure out how to post pics I will put up the correct schem and a gut shot of the current production in case anybody wants to home brew my version of the old standby, which in my opinion sounds pretty good and sounds nothing like Zendrive or TS.

I built what's presumably the below "incorrect" schematic (from the Tagboard layout), with a few pot value substitutions, and it sounds great with my bass. I'd be very interested to hear what the "correct" version is like.
