for me the 10k from c100 level pot go directly in inverting input and isn't linked to 25kb pot.
The 25kb go to inverterting input and the other side to 470 R , then the other side of 470 R to output of the opamp.
The output of the opamp directly to 1 micro cap.
In this way for the feedback resistor there are 2 resistors in parallel, (the 10k and the 470R in series with the 25kpot)
If the pot is close the value of feedback resistor is 448 ohm .
If the pot is open the value of the feedback resistor is 7142 ohm.
In this way the depth is functional. For me the solution is this.
you can not increase the decay, but you can reduce it and in this way the maximum decay will correspond with the maximum decay pattern of the brick!

I am trying to understand the schematic mmoleratx posted (mostly because I did a layout that doesn’t work).
For my build I did two substituions: The two TL072s are replaced by one TL074 and the BTDR-1 is replaced by a BTDR-2.
My questions are:
1. The substitutions shouldn’t be a problem, right?
2. I am wondering about VB and VD. As far as I see, both are ½ VC. So wouldn’t one port suffice? Unfortunately that idea came to me after etching the layout.
3. What ist he J-FET at the BTDR output for?
4. Why do my layouts seldom work without days of debugging?
Attached you’ll find a redraw of mmoleratx's schematic I used for layouting. Maybe you‘ll spot some silly mistake?

remember only that the modules are compatible but are different pinout.
If you don'y have any sound by the effect the problem is in the tl074 so check the pinout of tl074...
if you don't have the wet sound the problem is or the pinout of the fet or the pinout the btdr ...

Hey FSB I'm new to building pedals and I'm trying to get this Faux Spring Reverb correct. Thanks to everyone who put in the time and work to bring it this far and big thanks to Brian Wampler who was kind enough to come on and give a hint that all it needs is a variable lowpass filter (inverting) in the last op amp stage. I know to make it a lowpass you just add a cap in the feedback loop but how do you make it variable? Seems like if you make the resistor in the feedback stage a pot it would become a gain knob? Again, I'm pretty new to building so thanks for any help!!

MM's is a little different than mine. You're correct about what Brian regarding my attempt, as he said everything in the schematic the OP posted was right up to the Depth control.

Brian didn't respond to the thread after MM posted his schematic...

beedola, do you not notice a slight increase in volume with depth at max with mm schematic?
I honestly have never tried the reverb of the Wampler but would not buy it if it works that way...
In my opinion treble control is ok but the depth control isn't ok...

I do notice that with the Depth, yes.
