Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
idk, but I know a good source for cheap electronic parts: http://www.taydaelectronics.com
Great inventory, super cheap. In fact, I'm placing my fifth order soon. The only issue is they don't carry some parts, such as inductors, transformers, large speaker, etc. They do, however, have some good aluminum project boxes.
A pedal I made with all tayda-supplied parts:
Well, the plastic does melt kinda easily. I've gotten their DPDT's, and they haven't quit yet. But if the 3PDT's suck, then I'll be interested to see how the 4PDT that I ordered turns out...
I haven't had any serious issues so far. Had to wait an extra few weeks when the blue sparkle powder coating was back ordered, but no biggie. Was actually thinking about ordering a bunch of those 'pro' series switches soon for all my builds from now on.
They have a lot of cool stuff, and have been mostly good to deal with, I did have an order that took like 2 weeks to ship and they didn't respond to my first e-mail so I sent a second one about 4 or 5 days later and they finally responded to tell me sorry, we shipped the order out just now etc.
My only negative comment would be on the punctuality of communicating.. Stuff happens with inventory so I can understand any number of things causing an order to ship late. They just need to work on corresponding in a timely manner it looks like.
Yeah, I've been waiting over 2 weeks on an order of 3PDT switches, caps and resistors... I think this will be my last time dealing with these clowns. Tayda and Pedal Parts Plus it is from now on. Connie ships her stuff on time AND she includes Jolly Ranchers!
Sucks, I would love to try out one of those colorful wah enclosures. But, these guys are slow and sketch.
Well, yeah, I understand that. But, purely from a monetary stand point (e.i. from Mammoth's point of view), they are more expensive, thus you are exchanging a more valuable product (albeit useless to you) for a less valuable product. So, it's almost like you were doing Mammoth a favor (excluding shipping costs, haha)
