Marshall 1986 Clone

Most recent project was salvaging a chassis and cab from a flood-victim Sovtek Mig 50. This was flooded in someones practice space during hurricane Sandy. They brought it into my local shop for repair and then never picked it up when the shop told them it was too far gone to fix. So I got the call before it hit the shop's dumpster. Stripped out everything but the chassis and built a Marshall 1986 clone in it. This would be the "Bass" version of the 1987 plexi that we all know and love. Used a Weber PT and MagComp iron for everything else. Sounds killer! Channel one is very blackface bassman'y. Nice and deep and pretty clean. Channel two is brighter and has more bite and crunch.

Looks cool, I like the idea of recycling parts from one amp to make a new one, I'm going to have to get back into doing some amp building myself soon, cheers for posting.... :thumbsup
