Hi All.

I'm wanting to incorporate a passive mid cut, between say 300hz and 1k. I do want the intensity of the cut to be variable, but if the frequency could be variable too, thats just a bonus.

I realize I could build an active parametric eq, which would do the job to perfection, and I have considered it, but I'm wondering if it'll really worth my while, since:

1.) The OCD has way more volume on tap available than I'll ever need, and so the passive loss isn't an issue to me
2.) The idea of a passive filter is much more appealing from a simplicity point of view.
3.) I'll most likely never change the cut frequency, maybe just the cut intensity to match various guitars/amps
4.) I can't ever see myself ever needing a mid boost in this circuit, which the parametric would offer.

I'm thinking something like a "bridged T filter"

Looking at the OCD schematic, I'm planning on inserting the mid cut right after the 10k resistor that comes after the clipping section, right before pin 5 on the op-amp. Any issues I might have with this, impedance or otherwise?

I'm planning on using a much simpler tone control on the output to help reduce the loading,(SWTC) to make it more friendly with other pedals etc that follow.

Any thoughts or advice?
