The more of these I see for sale, the more I start to wonder how many of these are fakes - not that the seller is lying, necessarily, but someone somewhere may have been.
Also: "Excellent cosmetic condition, no scratches or dings."
There are some scratches visible in the seller's own photos. Granted, they're minor, but don't say it if it's not true - especially at that price.

Let's think here ...
Clay made only 50 (allegedly). The serial #'s and recipients aren't publically recorded (that I can find). That black/yellow swirl is easy to copy. The circuit is gooped. No-one wants to degoop theirs. People still won't accept the truth about what it is to preserve the mystique.
Given the recent hoo-hah about this pedal, and that Clay appears to be keeping his head down, what is to stop me building a gooped TS clone in a swirly box, sharpie pen the interior and bang it on the bay for $849 ?
Any questions, and I can trot out ...
"I bought it in good faith at a trade show in the far east somewhere"
"CJ never supplied any documentation with the originals anyway"
"No it doesnt sound like a TS - you just have bad ears/crap gear/dont know how to set it up"
"You prove it's NOT an original CJOD"
etc etc etc
If I can get $500 each for ten fakes ... hmmmmmmmmmmm ... where are those detailed pics I kept ...

The only thing is... if you sign the back like Clay did, I guess that's fraud.

Not if you legally change your name to Clay Jones.
