Tonebender attempt

Hi all,
I am attempting to build a tonebender mkII following this great schematics http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.ie/2012 ... ative.html
So far I get nothing, but that is usual ... I will start looking for errors once I get the icl7669s- the one I was using went to other pedal.
I have a bunch of soviet transistors GT1323 and GT1322, any points how to select 3 of them are appreciated.
the hfe;s are grouped : below 100, around 150, around 240 and over 350....
