Danelectro - D-7 Fab Fuzz

I gather standard modus operandi for the Fab series is a switching/buffer/I-O board and an effects board. I've included linked pics of both. Without tracing, I'm surprised at the effects board--a LF353 and a 2n7000 seem odd for a fuzz.

The 2N7000 looks as if it may be for millennium bypass

No, it is an input buffer.

Aah right, I was suspicious about it being close to the LED.

Looks like a pain to trace. Schem would be a cool thing to see though... I bet it could be tweaked to something useful.

Any idea on the pot values? Three A100Ks would suggest some sort of rat derivative, but i can't spot any clippers on the photos.

Does indeed look like a pain to trace. So I was hoping one of you experts would tackle it.

I didn't bother to measure the pots. Next time I take it apart.

Only diode on the board is the LED. No SMD transistors or diodes to be found.

This thread is older than TWD. But still a great pedal for the $$$

Vol pot is B103
Fuzz pot (Middle) is A254
Tone pot is A502

Like my predecessors, I am hammering out a schematic.
So many pedals, so little time. If one user likes or replies to this post, I will bump it up the priority list. :thumbsup

it's a miracle the gut shots are still online after 3 years...
please, always resize and attach gut shots of untraced pedal to the thread.

Some pedals got traced years after the guts shots were posted on this forum.
in fact, we forgot to celebrate 10 years FSB last June... 2007-2017 :slap:

Ouch... apologies.... I forgot completely.
10 years... is it really that long!? For a forum that wouldn't last 6 months.. Of which members were called terrorists etc. etc.

Cool!! :blackeye
