Very bright-sounding fuzz I bought used a while back. Ended up needing repairs shortly after I got it, for reasons which should quickly be evident. Note the giant "mojo" film caps.

Here's the schematic. Please tell me if you find any mistakes!

Interesting. Echo of the weird volume mod that circulates for the Tweak Fuzz (the R5 mod) on Q2.

Dragging this old thread back up with some additional information:

This circuit has been bugging me off and on, because I knew I'd seen it somewhere before. Lo, and behold:

http://www.modkitsdiy.com/pedal/rattler

It's literally a MODKits kit. The enclosure drilling and 95% of the parts match exactly. The builder just slapped a custom decal on it and called it a day. Even more entertainingly, he seems to have forgone the use of the terminal strip included in the kit in favor of what I'll generously call a "Unique Point-To-Point Layout"
The only changes made were the use of a plastic output jack and a different brand film cap on the input (this pedal was originally advertised as using "The finest film capacitor made in France" or somesuch)

So, there we have it. Glad I got this thing used for peanuts.

"Handwired point to point for extreme retention of guitar tone and dynamics"

How to sell your stuff!

They don't ground the input jack but they do ground the casing with a bolt....... why?

'handwired' as in no machine on earth could ever fuck it up that badly. it's like a stomp box equivalent of a dirty protest.
