Carl Martin Company Profile

ESR was founded in 1990 as a professional PA sound rental company. Shortly after we began producing custom made audio equipment.

Our goal was from the very beginning to develop and produce products for the demanding professional musician, with a superior sound quality and features not seen on any other guitar effect pedal. As a result of that our first guitar effect pedal, The Hot Drive'n Boost, was introduced in 1993.

Due to our extensive knowledge of the professional music industry, and our contacts with a wide range of demanding musicians, we have been able to maintain a high quality of products and now have a range of 26 high quality guitar effect pedals, with more to come in the future.

Founder of Carl Martin pedals worked for T.C. Electronic.
So this pedals are very high quality gear as well.
Compressor is considered to be one of the best in the market.

- Tubescreamer... If you want to call any circuit that has antiparallel diodes in the feedback loop a TS, regardless of the rest of the circuit... yes.
I'd say no. Would you call a non-inverting opamp amplifier stage a "tubescreamer without clipping"?

-Tone stack.. All have advantagesand disadvantages. Ththe CM guys have chosen this one. Nothing wrong with the choice.

- TB? I don't see TB. I didn't eithe when I reversed this one.

Or in general,
In pedalbuilding there are a few circuits that have proven themselves. Nothing new perhaps but nothing wrong either. One cannot expect that every circuit is truly unique as a Zacky V pedal. Neither has CM claimed anywhere that this pedal was in whatever way unique. However, it's very usable and they deserve to get credits for that.
