I think both represents two sides of the coin, if you prefer simplicity, go for the Mutron, but if you like to dig a bit more, the MacMeat is the thing, IMHO. It gets a little time to be confortably using its capabilities. I even added a LFO and a TE P.W.M. circuit before the loop. It delivers, man! I call it "McMeetMyballs".

Hi everyone,

I'm ready to start the offboard wiring now, the board's all ready, but I'm trying to see if there's any demand for a corrected/easier to read wiring layout for this project? I know that pisotones is the only one out there, but there are errors in addition to the fact that it is rather hard to distinguish some of the wires. If we could get something similar to the ringstinger/stringringer project for this one, I think that would be a great resource. I'm a little unsure on following the schematic, so I would need a little coaching - but I don't mind drawing it up if no one else wants to take that on.

Thanks so much!

¿Errors?

I'm the guy responsible of http://www.pisotones.com and AFAIK there are no errors in that project... Several people built Meatballs without problems

Well, I'm going off of hearsay with that. If there is any way you can help me out with color coding some of the wiring, I think it might clear up any confusion.

Well, that project was a collaboration from my friend psst. I'll try to clarify your questions. What colours do you have problems with?

The rotary switches are simple 4P3T.

Anybody able to comment on how a DIY vactrol impacts the sound of the mcmeat? The proper ones are not easily available to me.

Hat off to Pisotones, one of the very few pages in spanish with a lot of very well explained stuff... nadie es perfecto, no?

In regards to jazzercountry and others that want to use toggles instead of rotaries. It seems you can use an on/off/on SPDT for SW1, the bandwidth switch.

I'm wondering if you can use a 3PDT toggle for SW2, the sweep control. Can anyone verify if it will work? It seems it would work. Thanks!

Yes, it works.

I built mine with this switch combination:
1x on/off/on SPDT for SW1 (Bandwith)
1x on/on 3PDT for SW2 (Sweep)
1x on/on DPDT + 1x on/on 4DPT for SW3 (Range)
2x on/on SPDT for SW4 (Mode)

However, someone on the "other" forum beat me to it.

If you wanna build a meatball I would advise to search over there as you'll have a higher probability of success.

this project would be nice to have the pots so they can be soldered onto the board even switches would be good to to cut down the wiring bonanza thats involved. Nice project though.
