It's IC based. And knowing Mr.Pierra it's nothing new

Therefore...

As far as I can make out it's a Tube Screamer transistor buffer input into a JRC4558 opamp buffer

Yes I saw some waffle about the IC being used for the lower output impedance

I don't know..... do you plan on sharing the MXR schematic library that you asked about, found, and then bailed on over at the other thread?? :secret:

Just seems like more parts to me, especially for something as stupidly simple as a buffer.

Using anything other than a suitable op amp or a decent fet is a waste of build time, even for something this simple.

A buffer is a functional-based circuit, and provides nothing in the way of direct sonic superiority if done right (which is EASY). Put another way, it's just there to remove the coloration from loading. If it's providing coloration or outright sonic alteration on its own, it's NOT a buffer, is it?

Clever marketing - making a buffer into something else. So many guitarists don't understand the function of benefits of buffers as it is. And no - I don't include anyone here in that statement. We understand the technical parameters (or the information is available to us).

Well no one else here wanted to share them did they. You telling me that I'm the only one on this forum that has mxr schematics. come on :slap: I haven't got the full collection anyway, just ones that have been posted in this forum over the years.

Who the fuck are you anyway

This forum has gone shite recently.

You are totally right... no one else shared so why should you... right?

I do agree with you that the forum has turned to "shite."

Perhaps there is a reason?? Hmmmmm....... I wonder what it could be.... :hmmm:

Is there ANY good reason to hold stuff back ? Personally I'd respond to more requests but I don't have as much as
many people here do, but happy to post what I got!

Ahhh.... YES! Spoken like a true rice bowler! Take what I can get and give NOTHING!

No need to argue dude... everything available to the people here speaks volumes. :thumbsup

I much prefer the mentality of okgb. Share and share a-like. The only thing that makes these forums great is give AND take! Not asking for people to help you and then not even having the courtesy to return the favor.

Yeah you've got me all figured out haven't you Govmnt_Lacky. Well done :applause:

To the moderators: Please remove me from the forum. Leechers like myself offer nothing to the forum and are not welcome here.

Thank you,
