Not sure if he hangs out here, but he posts a lot at Harmony Central. I think his username is tweedbassman or something. Seems like a cool guy, he may point you in the direction kinda like Nick from Catalinbread does. [smilie=a_whyme.gif]

I wonder what the government would think of him drilling through pennies to use on his enclosures.

Nice looking boxes other than that. The artist works for Zvex as well, correct?

The answer of tweedbassman, thanks to him ;)
the actual circuit isn't based off any famous design, although it's not too complicated. it's IC based, but not 4558/tubescreamer; asymmetrical clipping section, a lot of gain, and a diode placed in a feedback loop which combines with a large cap in series with the gain knob to create lots of different shades of fuzz, gated sounds, and octaves and other intervals. if you'd like any specifics just let me know.

The sound samples sound like shit. Out of tune guitar and definitely not a "wall of sound" as described.

Yeah i agree the sound samples suck bad and the eq was all wrong for my taste. It looks to be a noise machine rather than an articulated musical fuzz pedal. Also, to me, the paint job by l bennett, is too busy and imo really ugly for a look of a pedal. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I get confused by these sort of pedals. Are you selling me a fancy paint job or a nice sounding pedal?

I prefer a stompbox with an original painting instead of one full color or nothing

Ant the price is not too high, the difference between Zvex pedal Vexter and Zvex pedal painted by L. bennet is outrageous!

i love the sample " Gain at 10, palm mute" and " Gain at 9, Texture at 8" "Octave dynamics robot" "octave fuzz"

It really sounds like "My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, Jesus and Mary Chain"

funny we are bringing up the paint job. I sent zvex this some time ago, and he got seriously offended. It's a joke yo!

For that money how about braiding the 9V leads and securing it with a 1c nylon tie?

got to laugh at the sound sample, how on earth does anyone expect to sell a pedal with that sound clip, get yourself someone who can play the guitar to do your sound clips man ! the sound example is your biggest advert.
It's fairly straight forward, if you want to start it , press start. You can work out the rest of the controls for yourself !

No silicon heaven ? preposterous ! Where would all the calculators go ?

It's quite popular at TGP, apparently.

That's because it stacks so well.

Guitarlcarl - I did take offence at being called an idiot by a moron.
