use a 300k trimmer to bias q3
definitely use a 250k for gain
i recommend to mod it and get a sweep pot in place of switch..

Looks interesting, thanks: Have you got a scheme you could post? I got lost trying to mentally trace the vero layout, but got lost at the mosley Q2. Schematics make it much easier to appraise what a circuit might sound like, and also makes it far easier for casually interested forum members to quickly breadboard your circuit to hear it.

yeah man! that's right.it's really good!thanks for the schematic! :applause:
as you may have already read, i used 2n5458, so mine has about 66% of the real gain but my board works perfect.hope to put in some j201 soon...hard to find in my town...!!!

Ha! Never saw that nabble site before... A lot of stuff on there, even the Tight Metal. Glad to see that you made a vero, people email me asking for vero layouts all the time and I just can't seem to make those! Probably my ADHD :roll: Nice work! You should try the Engl and the SLO also very good sounding and lot's of gain!
