Mesa Boogie Flux Drive-How to Reduce Volume Level

I like the tone of my MB Flux Drive but even with the gain only at 9 oclock on the dial which is barely on, you barely turn on the volume and it is way past unity gain. Turn up the gain or turn the tone/bass knobs past noon, and unity gain is impossible. When playing live, I don't like the solo to be way louder than my base tone. I can solder pretty good but I don't understand the theory. Thanks

Without a schematic, it's mission impossible.

Active tone controls amplify certain frequencies.
Where do you set your volume pot?

Almost off. I turn it till it just passes signal. Even then it's too high.

I didn't have an opportunity to play with this pedal, I've just listened to a few demos on youtube...it doesn't sound too loud on the demos..strange, you shouldn't have this kind of problems...I wish I could help you
As far as I know there is no schematic for this pedal on the net...
If you can post good enough pictures of both sides of the pcb and some extra informations, if it's possible some one can draw the schematic, and we can find a way to reduce the volume..
maybe someone else have more info about this pedal ...
