so i etched my board last night and then noticed that the jacks I got from smallbear are too big and the dc jack is too small to mount. which ones did you all use to mount them to the board?

the IC fits, so i know i didn't print it at the wrong resolution or anything like that.

I didn't mount mine, I usually don't. I wired them offboard.

the jacks used are Neutrik type NRJ6HF-1 or NRJ4HF-1 (just cut the ring contacts if you use the 6 pin variety)

Baja,

If I'll use this circuit at 15V, any changes to be done?.

Maybe a heatsink on the voltage regulator ?
I only give negative feedback.

I mean i'll be using the +15V regulated supply thru out the whole circuit.

The CMOS gates will withstand 15V without problem (just increased power consumption), but the current limiting resistor of each LED will have to be scaled.
I only give negative feedback.

Hi, Baja. First off, thanks for an excellent project.

I built this on vero last night (my own layout based on your schematic) and it didn't quite work as expected. After comparing your PCB layout to your schematic I noticed what I assume is a mistake on the schematic (the PCB layout seems correct based on the build reports here); one inverter (pin 8, 9) seems to have been drawn at the wrong location.

Given the CMOS logic involved here I'm guessing this inverter would throw things a bit off (explaining why my build didn't quite work). Is the schematic wrong or am I just seeing things?

I did a new vero build last night trying out the schematic update in my previous post, and it now works. I think the original schematic should be updated.
And here's my working vero layout.

Great project and surely the next one for me.
I know that it should be noiseless but is there
any noticeable tone sucking ?

I used multilayer ceramic capacitors for the 2u2 and 1u capacitors - (you can still use aluminium electros if you want to though i prefer to use the MLCC these days)
