So I've gotten pretty close, due mostly to its simplicity, but here's what I've got so far. I know they used AC125 PNP transistors, and a 1N270 germanium diode. They've also upped the gain pot from a 100KB to a 1MB for more gain, and added what looks like a 1N400 as a protection diode. Here's where I'm stumped: in the gut shots it looks like they've added 3 caps, and an ic chip, which I can't quite discern. I could just replace what I know, but I demoed one of these recently and absolutely loved it, and I'd prefer to get as close as possible. Does anybody happen to own one, or possibly just know kind of what they did to the old schematic. I'll upload the original schematic and a few gut shots as soon as I get a chance. Thanks!

The IC will be a voltage inverter (e.g. 7660S) to give -9v off a regular +9v daisy chain, and there will be at least 2 electrolytic caps associated with that extra part: The original supposedly has an electro on the power rail, and another on Q1 emitter. The two knob version supposedly had a third electro for the Q1-2 coupling cap, although that schematic doesn't actually include a gain pot: I'm never sure how far to rely on fuzz central schematics.

I think gain pot actually reduces gain as the value increases since it's in series with the signal between Q1 and 2, so a bigger pot won't alter the maximum gain, but will give a greater range of lower gain settings.

vero layouts for both the 2 knob and 3 knob options were contributed at gfx this week if interested...
