Spin FV-1 on the left

Official video

It says 100% handmade in the video... the builder must be a cyborg because every solder joint looked perfectly uniform. It's a great sounding pedal.

Could you also share the trace side of the pcb? It's essential if somebody would want to trace it.
thanks!

that pcb has through hole plating , when soldered from the bottom the solder flows to the top , it will always look perfect :)
It's fairly straight forward, if you want to start it , press start. You can work out the rest of the controls for yourself !

No silicon heaven ? preposterous ! Where would all the calculators go ?

Check out the cool method of connecting the pcb and the enclosure (bottom right of pcb photo)

I didn't post it earlier because it has a waffle-weave finish and it is difficult to see the traces even with a mangifier. Taking a pic directly from on top shows almost nothing.

Since it is a FV-1 DSP chip I don't know how useful the rest of the circuit would be without the program. I saw a 4558 chip under the B50K.

I may pick up a FV-1 development kit, Spin quoted around $130 back in April.

This shouldn't be different from any of his other pedals in terms of hardware. Ice 9 traced out the tunnel worm so that schematic should be of interest to you. Not sure I remember seeing the ferrite beads though.

Built by 100% live humans in my shop.

We just know how to build pedals. :)

Thanks for your interest. Took quite some time to design that pedal. Good luck.

Very nice Mr. Deville, and a first in that size pedal :applause:

Your comment on my other thread about using two BBDs to produce a Shepard effect I'm assuming was research for this project, since the finished product is Spin vs BBDs? (I'm sure it's more cost effective this way). Do you mind revealing how many "voices" if I may put it this way the Shepard has?

Most of the FV-1 based pedals really don't impress me, but this one sounds really good.

It's really all about the engineer.

Thanks again for noting my work. Best of luck on this one.

Also, schematic published is incorrect.
