thanks for the gut shot.

from what i can gather from the posts at the TGP, this is perhaps another TS-based circuit? or maybe based on a zendrive?
most people describe it as being smooth / soft and having some bass cut and a mid hump.

Always wondered what was in these. What's the IC?

I love how he's created a daughterboard for the jacks and footswitch but designed it to use openframe Switchcraft jacks. I had not thought of that; I was sort of assuming that once I went down that road, I'd have to settle for board-mounted jacks.
:slap:
I am frankly inspired by this idea. Also notice no board-mount DC jack (which is something you can expect to have to re-solder if you repair an old Ibanez effect).
:applause:
Great job on laying out the circuitboard to fit the physical enclosure.

Eric is very much an "engineer"...his old pedals were some of the cleanest around.

This is the old Shannon Overdrive I used to have. It was a well built, good sounding TS808.

I agree. That is engineered very nice. I love the lack of any length of wire other than for the battery.

Regardless of whether it's an original design or not, at least you know that you're getting quality construction.

Yeah, the construction quality is good, another plus is that assembly time is shorter when you don't have to strip and solder a jillion wires to the switches and jacks. I bet the sound is more consistent when you don't have wires running all over the inside of the pedal, nice ground planes...I like it a lot.

Not my pic ... :?

Btw ... Yes very nice build :applause: but does this world need another TS variant :hmmm:
but at least not another zen clone ...

Opamp is MC1458P.

Clipping appears to be non symmetrical with 4 x 1N4148 style + one Germanium.

Decent sounding, but somewhat generic sounding IMO.. and pretty low gain.
