so... thanks to all parties above for schems. this is on my 'must try' list and since I've had some time on my hands this weekend... I did a layout and will wire one up sooner or later. Just wanted to share.
Have checked it 3x (not saying I'm incapable of mistakes!).
My layout is setup to mount the pcb on a push pull. Extra pads around the pot for parallel resistors to bring a 250k to the 100k value.
