PSU Connections For Dunlop GCB-95

Hi there
I have inherited, what appears to be an early Dunlop GCB-95.
I say early as it doesn't have the sockets attached to the board.
The case (which weighs an absolute ton compared to my Jen Wah) has a socket hole for a PSU input but the previous owner seemingly removed this...?
I wish to restore this socket to run from my T-Rex Power Pump Junior but don't have a clue where to attach the two wires.
I'm NOT an electronics guy (though I have performed various mods on valve amps and pedals with graphic instructions) so I'd need to be shown (visually) where to hook up the incoming power to.
I've attached a couple of gut shots - (I've already swapped a resistor for a slightly more vocal sound)

The orange wire on the left of the connector on the first pic brings the +9V from the DC jack.

The red wire from the battery goes to the DC jack battery switch (which disconnects the battery when a plug is inserted).

The first black wire on the connector (from the left hand side) goest to the DC jack.

The other black wire on the connector is the battery ground.
You can use this pic for reference although it's a True Bypass mod...

Mmmm....

Sadly I can't get that to work!

I've wired the true bypass switch - all good.
Removed the plug and socket loom as it had some kind of internal bad connection that kept scrunching and crunching every time I moved the pedal.
And now hard wired each of the leads to the relevant terminals - no more scrunching and crunching.
Replaced the ancient broken battery clip - works perfectly well with a battery.

However when I plug the 9V jack (from my Fuel Tank Junior) into the socket, all I get is hideous loud hum and no signal.
I've used a plastic barrel socket so it's not shorting to the chassis.
And I used the attached picture as a reference so fairly sure I've wired the socket correctly using the suggested wiring diagram

Any ideas?

FIXED!!!

I realised that I'd flipped the wires on the input!
The 'Hot' wire was attached to the correct terminal but the battery minus and Earth were back to front.

All good now.

Huge thanks for your kind help.
