I have a fuzz face build that is doing something odd. I’m using a standard npn fuzz face schematic as below (I borrowed the schematic from fuzz central, hope that’s ok?). I have used a tonebender style layout as per the DAM Head Buzz (the layout is not mine and has since been taken off the forum so I'm not sure if it's ok to post it here or not? so won't for the time being). My board (front and back) are below.

I tested all of the parts before soldering and confirmed they were working/correct values. I also used a breadboard and made sure I had a great working fuzz before soldering – I selected transistors that worked with the standard value parts. I am using ME4003 transistors.
I’m wondering if there is something wrong with the layout and I just can’t see it. The transistors are socketed and work great in the breadboard circuit but not so well in the final set up which has a very gated sound.
The really odd thing I am noticing is that the voltage on Q1s collector drops slightly when I engage the circuit while Q2s collect goes up slightly. I have never experienced it on any other builds and don’t know what is causing it. I wonder if whatever is causing this is the root of my problem? Has anyone come across this before?
I have rebuilt the board replacing every component to ensure that something hadn’t died when being soldered with the exception of the pots which measure correctly. I have also tried a trim pot and fine tuning the bias but it hasn’t helped.
My voltages are:
In bypass
Q1 Q2
E 0 E 0.72
B 0.62 B 1.33
C 1.33 C 2.80
When Pedal engaged
Q1 Q2
E 0 E 0.72
B 0.62 B 1.24
C 1.24 C 3.05
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
