Hello, noob from Finland here!

I´ve just finished the ROG Ginger build (by TH Customs). It am getting output and the controls are working properly, but there is something wrong with the sound. When I bias the Q1 & Q2 to around 6V (as suggested by ROG website), I get crazy distortion at even low gain settings.

When I adjust the bias by ear to achieve usable tone the voltages are 7.9V and 8.8V and even then the tone is unsatisfactory. I barely get unity gain by cranking both the gain and volume full on and there is significant lack of bass even with the bass pot cranked up.

I´ve triple checked the layout and everything seems to be in right place. I´ve also swapped the transistors around with no change. How should I go about fixing this?

I only started building pedals 2 months ago and this is my 5th completed build in total, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Where did you get your FETs? I had a customer who built one from a pcb I sold him using FETs he purchased on ebay and they were the reason it didn't work right.
